A MOTHER, AN UNDERMINED INDISPENSABLE AGENT OF DEVELOPMENT.
The mothers have been ridiculed and their contributions undermined and left to go unnoticed and unappreciated. Being a mother has been seen as a worthless duty. Now, nobody wants to be a mother. No! I don’t mean nobody wants to be called mummy but nobody wants to be a Mother. You would want to wonder ‘what is the difference between being a Mother and a Mummy?’ Many of what we have today are mummies while that which we used to have time past were mothers. A mummy could be just a mother figure (someone to stand as a mother) while a mother is a woman that has lived up to the expectations of being a mother. Mother, an indispensable agent of development I call them but how? Take a look at the some of the youths and individuals in our society, the disoriented ones, in most cases you will find that these are youths who have lacked motherly care.
