LUCKY YOU

 How lucky you are that Allah(s.w.t) chose you from amongst many to be of the ones with whom He(s.w.t) is pleased. Do you not see how He(s.w.t) conferred his favour on you by making you of the Muslims?
“They regard as a favour to you (O Muhammad SAW) that they embraced Islam. Say; ‘count not your Islam as a favour to me. Nay, but Allah has conferred a favour upon you that he has guided you to the faith if you indeed are true”
(Quran 49v17)
So, understand O favoured one! that your being a Muslim is not a favour to Islam or the Muslims but a favour from Allah(s.w.t ) to you.
Let see how you appreciate Him(subhanok).
A simple way to do this is to learn (authentically) about the religion and practise (it to the best of your ability) as it was by your best role model - Prophet Muhammed (s.a.w).

This topic for an argument is as null and void, in my opinion, as some other topics that we would debate over in school examples of which includes ‘boys are better than girls’, ‘farmers are better and doctors’, etc. In an argument like ‘farmers are better than doctors’, what differentiation are we trying to make between the farmers and the doctors? With what do we intend to raise the status of the farmers over the doctors? The farmers have their role to play and a contribution to make in the development process just like the doctors, at some point some of these roles are the same while at other points the differ from one another. Both personalities are needed and we really can’t do with just one of them without the other- the doctors to cater for our health and the farmer to help in producing food for the increasing population alongside other civic duties. TECHNOLOGICAL DELUSION

With the advancement in technology, one would expect life becoming easier, people becoming more efficient but reverse seems to be the case, the invention of mobile devices like Smartphones   that were suppose to increase people’s efficiency is having a negative impact on (some of) them, we have people becoming more lazy, useful times that could be spent on developmental issues are wasted on mobile phones on not-so-important issues like chatting, downloading, uploading, reading unnecessary post, etc. If you interpret this to mean that social networking is bad, you’re wrong. Chatting of course is a cheap means of   connecting people, what I am saying is that for a youth, spending too much time on this could be destructive especially when it begins to distract one from the original purpose of his/her existence(the worship of Allah(s.w.t)) or one gets addicted to it.
