TUNNELS OF LIFE

AS THE SAYING GOES                                         
“THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF EVERY TUNNEL”
This can be interpreted to mean that “TO EVERY PROBLEM, THERE IS A SOLUTION AND ALL PROBLEMS ENDS WITH THE APPLICATION OF ITS SOLUTION”
In life, there are numbers of tunnels to dig and go through, depending on one’s aspiration, endeavors, goals, etc
Generally, people without goals have lesser tunnels to dig in life compared to the Ambitious. You find them having no current or planned goal and no future expectations.
Of the tunnels that we have to dig and go through in life, some are compulsory, some are necessary while others are unnecessary.
Quite unfortunately, many a people spend the greater part of their time digging the unnecessary tunnel, thereby neglecting the necessary ones. While some spend their time camping in other people’s tunnel, thereby neglecting theirs.
This I would say is the major reason why many people end up as UNDERACHIEVERS. But, for the Ambitious, the big question is;
“HOW MANY CAN WAIT TO GET TO THE END OF THE TUNNEL?”
Most time, the Ambitious make a mistake and that is in their thinking that their effort is enough to bring them success, but such is not the case for indeed success comes from Allah(subhanohu wata'ala), only He(subhanok) can grant success thus as we strive to go places in life we must not forget that the ultimate success come from the one in whose hands lies our soul.
We should not allow our goals divert us from the remembrance of Allah(subhanohu wata'ala) as he(subhanok) says in his book
“O mankind! Verily the promise of Allah is true, so let not this present life deceive you, and let not this present life deceive you, and let not the chief deceiver(satan) deceive you about Allah”
(Quran 35v5)
For this, let us always call to our minds the remembrance of Allah(subhanohu wata'ala) as we go through this tunnels, this will do us good for as He(azawajal) made it known from his statement that whoever has taqwa, he will create a way out(of distress) for such and provide for him/her from places he least expects.
For those who think they can attain success neglecting Allah(subhanohu wata'ala), know they not that the true way by which we can succeed his remembrance as He(subhanok) says;
“when the salat is finished, then ye may disperse through the land, and seek the bounty of Allah(by working, etc) and remember Allah much, that you may be successful.”
(Quran 62v10)
In order to go through the tunnels of life, we need guidance, security, strength, provisions, etc and all that can come from nowhere and none except the one in whose hands is the dominion of the heavens and the earth.
So strive O Muslim youth! But keep in mind the remembrance of your Lord.

This topic for an argument is as null and void, in my opinion, as some other topics that we would debate over in school examples of which includes ‘boys are better than girls’, ‘farmers are better and doctors’, etc. In an argument like ‘farmers are better than doctors’, what differentiation are we trying to make between the farmers and the doctors? With what do we intend to raise the status of the farmers over the doctors? The farmers have their role to play and a contribution to make in the development process just like the doctors, at some point some of these roles are the same while at other points the differ from one another. TECHNOLOGICAL DELUSION

With the advancement in technology, one would expect life becoming easier, people becoming more efficient but reverse seems to be the case, the invention of mobile devices like Smartphones   that were suppose to increase people’s efficiency is having a negative impact on (some of) them, we have people becoming more lazy, useful times that could be spent on developmental issues are wasted on mobile phones on not-so-important issues like chatting, downloading, uploading, reading unnecessary post, etc. If you interpret this to mean that social networking is bad, you’re wrong. Chatting of course is a cheap means of   connecting people, what I am saying is that for a youth, spending too much time on this could be destructive especially when it begins to distract one from the original purpose of his/her existence(the worship of Allah(s.w.t)) or one gets addicted to it.
